Bambú Social 2.0 - UCA Repentina

At the Universidad Centro Americana (UCA) in Managua we hosted a design workshop. The goal of this so called ‘repetina’ was to share knowledge with the Nicaraguan students and learn from their vision on social housing and building with bamboo. Almost thirty architecture students participated, in groups of 4-5 students they designed a social house made of bamboo.

To meet the future architects of Nicaragua and to learn from their knowledge on culture and construction was an amazing experience! We want to thank all participants for the effort and enthusiasm they put in their designs, their work is a great source of inspiration which will help Bambú Social to move forward.

Bambú Social tuvo la oportunidad de realizar un taller (repentina) en la Universidad Centro Americana (UCA) de Nicaragua. En él participaron cerca de treinta alumnos de arquitectura que en grupos de 4-5 personas tuvieron que diseñar una vivienda social utilizando el bambú como material de construcción. También contamos con la presencia de tres profesoras entre las que se encontraba Emma Grun quien hizo que este encuentro fuera posible.

Conocer a los arquitectos del futuro y su visión con respecto a la problemática de la vivienda en Nicaragua, conocer sus ideas y sus diseños fue, sin lugar a dudas, ¡una experiencia muy gratificante!.

Queremos agradecer a todos los asistentes por su esfuerzo y entusiasmo en la ejecución de sus diseños y, especialmente, a Emma Grun por su apoyo e interés en esta iniciativa.
