In this project a few values are really important to us. One of them is satisfaction. For us it is extremely important that the citizens of Chanzanga are satisfied about the multipurpose centre. In this way they will use it regularly and the multipurpose centre contributes to a sustainable development of the neighborhood. We hope to accomplish the highest possible satisfaction by starting our project by doing market research and collecting feedback which we will incorporate in the design process. Another value is the sustainability of our project. Unfortunately a lot of starting projects fail or are discontinued. An example are the water pumps is villages. By lack of maintenance water pump broke down and is dilapidated and no one knows how to repair it. We want to counteract this by involving the residents of Chazanga during the process and truly listen to their desires. We also want to leave a manual behind which describes how the multipurpose centre can be built and how it can become profitable. In this way the knowledge will not be fade away when we go back to the Netherlands. The last value in this project is innovation. Through our research we want to develop a cheaper building material. In this way building materials will be available for a bigger customer segment and also the poor families can buy these building materials.
