Ceramics Centre / manufacturers / local stores for materials
- Importance: +++
- Role: provides the client with needed materials, tools and expertise for the production of the cookstove.
- Timeframe: frequently, short and long term
The Ceramics Centre is an important stakeholder in the production process of the improved cookstove. The centre provides KITA with the clay, isolative materials, tools and expertise to make clay mixtures. These clay mixtures are used for the construction of the combustion chambers of the cookstove. During the prototyping phase they could give information about building with ceramics and the construction of the combustion chambers. During this period, the Ceramics Centre cooperates free of charge. On the long term the Ceramics Centre could be part of the value chain of the cookstove and produce the combustion chambers. Then KITA will need to pay the Ceramics Centre for their effort. If the Ceramics Centre invests in this partnership and helps with developing the cookstove, later it will gain income. Other required manufacturers or local stores for materials are not known yet, but will play a similar role with the same importance.
