1.Entrepreneurial activities
We will do experiments with new technology. Research to new, innovative, low-cost building materials. So this fits well with an entrepreneurial attitude.
2.Knowledge development
In cooperation with the TU Delft, PPHPZ and the local knowledge, we will develop the knowledge to reduce the housing problem. By bringing all these parties together, it’s possible to share each other's findings. The problems of the different groups can then be solved. The knowledge level will go up.
3.Knowledge diffusion through networks
PPHPZ organises workshops & conferences to share the knowledge. We will share our knowledge with the local authorities and they with us. For successful implementation, we should continue to inform the people and expand the meetings and workshops
4.Guidance of the search
The Zambian government doesn’t have the means to solve the housing problem in Lusaka. That’s the reason why PPHPZ was founded in 2005.
5.Market formation
Due to the high population growth and the low wealth in Lusaka, there are many households that are looking for better housing. Therefore there is a high demand. Because of the government does not do anything, there is room on the market for improved building and building materials.
6.Resources mobilization
With our partnership with the PPHPZ, we come in contact with the right people, the core actors. Because of this, we know what is already on the market and how we can respond to that. For successful implementation, we should get in contact to people, suggested by PPHPZ.
7.Creation of legitimacy / counteract resistance to change
When people see the problem with the solution, it is easier to accept. In order to realize this, it is important to inform them well. The interest group is the residents of Chazanga. We should get in contact with them, that’s necessary for successful implementation.
