Texel in 2065

In 2065 less jobs are needed, people do not have a 40-hour workweek. A lot of activities of the past are automated now, like driving, housekeeping or farming. Most jobs lie in the service sector, in doing research and in increasing/sharing knowledge. Besides this the jobs are not focused on earning money, it is also possible to share or exchange services. There is much more room for personal development.

Travelling in 2065 is fast, easy and cheap. A trip to the other side of the world takes a few hours, a trip to the mainland a few minutes. Therefore there is much more freedom of choice: where to work, where to meet friends, where to go to school, etc. Everybody is much more connected, both in a digital as physical way. This also means that if a disaster happens in some country (or in Texel), which is be probably caused by climate change, it is easy to move people to a safe place.

In 2065 there will be a circular economy all over the world. However, people are global, products and nature are local.
