Being creative in 2065
As an architect I imagine taking a well-deserved holiday to the Sustainable island of Texel; the trip towards the island would be with a high-speed train or self-driven cars and maybe the transfer across the water would be more individual; where these cars are hybrid and could transform. Have your own personal sustainable transport to the island and on the island.
I imagine having a summer house here with an atelier, a place to relax and just design for myself; be creative. This would be done with improved technologies such as holograms, 3D designing without actually using the pen or paper. Just being able to adjust the design by moving your objects with your hands in the hologram. Or maybe even a step further, maybe there would be helmets with brain sensors that can read or visualize one’s thoughts to a screen or to this hologram; so one does not have to take that first step of translation the idea in your head to one in the computer or the design system at that time; making it a faster and more sustainable process.
I imagine this 3D design system, an image in space that you can walk around, see from every perspective. Maybe this system would be connected wireless towards hardware systems that can create; such as the 3D printer. No need for other different programs; just one that can do all.
This doesn’t have to be just for architecture, but maybe this ‘helmet’ can be connected to robots/ machines that could paint, write or sculpt something straight from your thought process.
