In the bakery most of the sweets are denoted as typical texels’ products. These are, since the bakery is placed in the city centre of Den Burg, special made for tourists – it has economically reasons. A short talk with the cashier noted that most of the products are sold to tourists, since those products are more expensive. Besides, as soon as some resources are from Texel it is showed by a sticker. So the promoting factor is very important. In the café, talking to some locals around, it showed the expensiveness of the local products too. But, it should be noted that, for example, vegetables are cheaper when they are in season, but locals, who are not focussed on sustainability or local products, do not notice these things.
