The morning started with a warm welcome by Marina Otero, the head of Research and Development department of HNI, who gave us few insights about the HNI's agenda. Later on, Katia Truijen introduced us The Life Fair exhibition.
An important part of the chapter was dedicated to a developing scenarios exercise, which is an effective method in Constructive Technology Assessment. This exercise was carried out as an interactive assignment, where after being presented to the themes at The Life Fair exhibition, the various student groups were supposed to act out the best and the worst future scenarios. These scenarios were based on the values for technological innovation which were identified by the student groups after visiting the exhibition.
Acting the best and worst future scenarios turned out to be very fun, and it showed us the challenge to consider the values before the future scenarios themselves.
