In this article I will give feedback tot he chapter 6 presentation.
Beforehand was decided that I was in charge of the interactive part in the elaboration of the cost-benefit analysis. The interactive part i would do with the help of socrative, an online quizmaker that could help me a lot with the explanation of 2 examples i prepared.
Overall i think we did a good job explaining the risk analysis and safety engineering. As said, it was one of the hardest chapters. When the students said they understood the chapter well, I was quite happy. This was the most positive point about the presentations. Another positive point for me was that the role-play game. At first it was a bit stiff, but in the end in turned out to be an interesting discussion.
When I take a look at my part of the presentation I think there are some positive and negative points. On the positive side it was nice that most of the students understood the overall idea of the Cost-Benefit analysis. Also the interactive quiz went well and in the end there was a nice discussion about the topic. Some negative aspects regarding my part of the presentations were that i couldn’t explain the examples properly. Meaning that the students didn’t understood it well either. This caused some confusion among everyone. Next time with a presentation like this, I should prepare better so that I can explain the examples better and make the students understand this concept better.
