Week 1 [water cycle]

As a water cycle sub-sustem our challenge is the reuse and recycle of the existing water sources of Texel Island by providing a sustainable development but also aware the people about the problem.   Research question: 1)Is it possible to use RainWater Harvesting systems in TEXEL in order to provide the island with clean water? Is it this solution efficient according to the annual precipitation?

Our subsystem is the water cycle system and we aim to provide solutions that will support the realization of the vision of a selfsufficient Texel in 2020. To achieve this we will look into the current state and previously attempted innovations, then requirements for the water system will be formulated (i.e. how much water is needed? drinking water/grey water?).
