On wednesday the 4th of November, we went to the area Barranco to meet the directors of L.O.O.P.! Situated in a beautiful old building, we found the office of L.O.O.P. in the centre of the bohemian-style neighborhood Barranco. There we met Nadia and Maria-Pia who told us a lot about the company. In the evening they invited us to come with them to the 'Kunan' event where several social entrepreneurs promoted their projects in order to gain awareness and to win a prize of 40.000 soles (10.000 euro). It was very interesting to see all these different projects with all an inspiring mission. Irene, one of the founders of L.O.O.P. was one of the members of jury. In the end a winner was chosen by the members of jury. We didn't have a chance to speak to Irene, but we had arranged a meeting in thursday.
Thursday we went to Barranco again by bus (a 10-minute bus ride from our apartment) and we finally could meet Irene!
With Irene we spoke about our concrete scope and our ideas for the market research we will perform. We fine-tuned all our ideas and now we have a very clear vision about how our market research will look like.
We will start with observations of the upper-middle class of the Peruvian society, restaurants and educational institutes. We will do observations and record these.
Saturday the 7th of November we will coorporate in a beach clean-up organised by L.O.O.P. and on Sunday we will go to the exposition 'Casacor Peru'; this exposition shows a house of the upper-class of Lima situated in a poor neigborhood of Lima. Here we will observe how this exposition is being accepted in this neighborhood and how people react.
