YUPTA diagrams of stakeholders

There are several stakeholders in marketing and exploiting the local food culture of Texel. We tried to formulate for each stakeholder what its presence and commitment would be in this. 

Farmer

The farmer is an interesting key player, because he cultivates the land that is an attraction for tourists. The duration of engagement is all year round and he has to integrate his rhythm with nature. He has a lot of engagement which is also deeply rooted in the  community.

Citizen

The citizen is important for the food culture in the aspect of using local products. They have to form new habits which has a long duration and integration with the seasonally available products. They can do a lot and the quality of the deeds will be big, because it may have a huge effect on how the island organizes itself.

Tourist

The tourist is an important actor in the food culture. People are drawn to the island because of its strongly local character and special products. For tourists it is important that they get back a lot, so there is a lot of reciprocity and the body sense is also big. The food culture is also very important in making moments to signify. Those few days tourists spend on the island have to be remembered. 

Restaurant

The restaurant is very important in the marketing of Texel foods. It has to connect with the farmers on one hand, which explains the duration and integrating rhythm.On the other hand they have to perform for a lot of tourists, which means they can do a lot and have a large environmental impact. They get of course revenue in return and a good reputation. 

Municipality

The municipality can do a lot with regulations to improve sustainability of the island. Therefore it has to invest in the relations and engagement is really necessary. The duration of the engagement is quite long. The municipality has to negotiate with all the various stakeholders to come to a good set of regulations.
