Preface

Two years ago the client, Kumasi Institute of Tropical Agriculture (KITA) have started a project called “Moringa Project for Livelihood Diversification, Nutritional Enhancement and Sustainable Land Use” sponsored by USAID’s “Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Horticulture”. In May 2014 Tim van Teeffelen did a study on the development of a concept involving sustainable food production methods at KITA.  

From November 2014 until January 2015 two students of the TU Delft, in cooperation with two UCTA students, University Kumasi institute of Tropical Agriculture, did a follow up study on the subject. Both their reports will be used as background information. This November  two new students of the TU Delft, Nena Roes and Nienke Zweers, and two new students from UCTA  Charlotte Botwey and Gideon Yaw will continue the project, implementing their research.
